Gen Z (1997 - 2010)

Gen Z, a generation with a strong sense of individual identity and self-awareness, has elevated binge-watching on Netflix to an art form and speaks memes as a second language. They challenge existing norms and expectations, redefining them with their unique worldview and innovative ways of interacting. Born between 1997 and 2010, they are the first 'digital natives', fully growing up in a world dominated by technology, globalization, and social media.

Parents and older generations often find it challenging to fully understand or effectively communicate with Gen Z. The rapid technological advancements and Gen Z's specific culture, including their own language and terminology like 'gemo' and 'delulu is de solulu', can be confusing and overwhelming. These differences lead to interesting dynamics and sometimes tensions within families and the broader society. For this reason, we've asked a group of Gen Z'ers questions that parents typically don't ask at the kitchen table.

But who is Gen Z really? They are characterized by their social engagement, outspokenness, and entrepreneurship. They hold strong social and political opinions, but at the same time, they also feel uncertain about the future and can be communication-shy. This mix of characteristics makes Gen Z an intriguing and versatile generation.
